EWS Field GPS (Android) v1.4.2

If the phone still pings (system ding) but you never hear a short sonar, you are on an old install or a silent channel. Uninstall first (Settings → Apps → EWS GPS Keep-Alive / EWS Field GPS → Uninstall), then install this APK. Updating in place can leave the old alert channel.

After install, the app title is EWS Field GPS and the screen says v1.4.2. Status is on-screen only. Tray is silent; app plays one sonar on media volume when share starts (not every GPS fix / network heartbeat).

NordVPN: exclude EWS Field GPS (split tunneling) or disconnect Nord while sharing — otherwise posts fail and the pin drops after a few minutes.

1. Uninstall any previous EWS GPS / Field GPS app.
2. Install the APK (step 1). Allow unknown apps if asked.
3. Tap step 2 — or open Operator → Open Keep-Alive for this site.
4. Allow location All the time. Notifications can stay minimal/silent.
5. Confirm app shows v1.4.2 and status On COP. One sonar at start only (raise media volume).
6. Flood COP: one pin, popup “Android keep-alive (Google Fused)”.
